和紙にジュエリーを漉き込んだSukikOmiです。パッケージごと全てが長く心に残るものを、との想いから生まれた一つとして同じものが無いプロダクトです。
シルバーリングには手彫りで言葉を刻んでいます。
一枚一枚丁寧に手作業で作ったパッケージと共に大切な方や自分へのギフトのためにメッセージを入れて贈る事もできます。
ジュエリーを取り出した後は影絵のように灯りに透かしてインテリアとしてもお使いいただけます。 リングをチェーンに通してお守りのようにネックレスとしても着けていただけます。
■制作工程
和紙の原料は福井県越前市で長年続く和紙会社の作業場で楮の皮を加工して作られています。それを東京都内のアトリエで水に溶かして、その中にジュエリーを1個ずつ梳きこんで乾かし、１枚の紙のパッケージにしています。紙同士をを貼り合わせただけでは無いので薄くて張りがあり、紙の裏からそっと破いて指輪を取り出せます。

“月”in Japanese, which means “moon” , is hand-engraved on the silver ring.
Jewelry is mixed in the fibers in the process of making washi. This unique product has been made so that everything-even the package-will leave a lasting impression.
SukikOmi is carefully handcrafted so that the jewelry along with the package can be a gift to yourself or to someone special. A personal message can also be added.
Even after the jewelry is taken out, the washi can be enjoyed as an interior item.

■Production process
The raw materials of Japanese traditional paper (washi) used for SukikOmi are provided by a company who has been making washi for many years in Echizen of Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The raw materials are made from fibers of kozo barks. These are brought to our studio in Tokyo, melted in water, and a jewelry piece is mixed in and dried. It becomes a piece of a package. Since it is one piece of washi, instead of two pieces pasted together,the product is thin and firm. Gently tear the washi from the reverse side to remove the ring inside.
