The work　

見て、触れて、想像して。金属、革、木、和紙などの素材と対話するように製作しているハンドメイドの作品。物語性や詩的な表現を通して作品と人、人と人が繋がっていくことへの願いが込められています。*DESIGNER'S FILE 2018 掲載誌 The designer, Mami Nakatani, finds inspiration in what she sees, feels, and imagines.Her products are made through her dialogue with the materials she uses such as metal, leather, wood, or Japanese traditional paper. Her wish is that the stories and poetic expressions in her work will connect the products with people as well as people with other people. *Published in the DESIGNER'S FILE 2018

DESK BAG
ポータブルな机として使えるバッグ
持ち運びできて机になるバッグ。中にはおちょことボトル、敷物が収納でき、ショルダーバッグとして肩から掛けられます。ハイキング、花見などに持っていき、膝の上に乗せて天板を机として使用します。今後は持つ人に合わせて画材入れ、スケッチ用のバッグなども制作予定です。 A bag that turns into a portable desk. A sake cup, bottle, and mat can be stored in this shoulder bag. Ideal for hiking or cherry-blossoms viewing for which the bag can be placed on your lap to be used as your own picnic table. Future plans include a bag for tools for painting or sketching, or for according to the needs of who will carry the bag.

和紙にジュエリーを漉き込んだパッケージ
和紙にジュエリーを漉き込んだSukikOmiです。パッケージごと全てが長く心に残るものを、との想いから生まれた一つとして同じものが無いプロダクトです。一枚一枚丁寧に手作業で作ったパッケージと共に大切な方や自分へのギフトのためにメッセージを入れて贈る事もできます。 Jewelry is mixed in the fibers in the process of making washi. This unique product has been made so that everything-even the package-will leave a lasting impression. SukikOmi is carefully handcrafted so that the jewelry along with the package can be a gift to yourself or to someone special. A personal message can also be added.

Subtle glow-in-the-dark effect
暗い場所でほんのり光る和紙
日本の伝統と新しい技術の組み合わせにより制作した革と和紙のアクセサリーです。和紙は都内のアトリエで漉いており、繊維に特殊な加工を施し暗い場所でほんのり淡く光るように開発しました。Japanese tradition and new technique were combined to make these accessory pieces made with leather and handmade Japanese paper(washi).Washi was given a special finish so that it has a subtle glow-in-the-dark effect.

和紙のパッケージ入りリング

言葉をシルバーリングに手彫りし、和紙に漉き込みました。ジュエリーを取り出した後は影絵のように灯りに透かしてインテリアとしてもお使いいただけます。Hand-engraved words on the silver ring. Even after the jewelry is taken out, the washi can be enjoyed as an interior item.

着彩した革と和紙を組み合わせた軽くてユニークなアクセサリーです。和紙の繊維に特殊な加工を施し暗い場所でほんのり光ります。Hand-painted leather and washi were combined for this unique and lightweight piece. Washi was given a special finish so that it has a subtle glow-in-the-dark effect.
