和紙にジュエリーを漉き込んだSukikOmiです。パッケージごと全てが長く心に残るものを、との想いから生まれた一つとして同じものが無いプロダクトです。
一枚一枚丁寧に手作業で作ったパッケージと共に大切な方や自分へのギフトのためにメッセージを入れて贈る事もできます。
ジュエリーを取り出した後は影絵のように灯りに透かしてインテリアとしてもお使いいただけます。
■制作工程
和紙の原料は福井県越前市で長年続く和紙会社の作業場で楮の皮を加工して作られています。それを東京都内のアトリエで水に溶かして、その中にジュエリーを1個ずつ梳きこんで乾かし、１枚の紙のパッケージにしています。紙同士をを貼り合わせただけでは無いので薄くて張りがあり、紙の裏からそっと破いてジュエリーを取り出せます。

■中のイヤーカフについて
一つのアイテムで様々な使い方を...イヤーカフ単体でも、専用パーツと組み合わせてイヤリング風にも。イヤーカフや一部のパーツは指輪としても、チェーンにつなげてネックレスチャームとしても使用でき.ユニセックスで着けていただけます。
＊イヤーカフのベースとなり、チャームをイヤーカフに通すだけで組み合わせられます。（チャームは別売り）
これからもチャームの新しいデザインは追加していきます。
＊イヤーカフは耳に挟んでから輪の部分を両側から指で締めると落ちにくくなります。

Jewelry is mixed in the fibers in the process of making washi. This unique product has been made so that everything-even the package-will leave a lasting impression.
SukikOmi is carefully handcrafted so that the jewelry along with the package can be a gift to yourself or to someone special. A personal message can also be added.
Even after the jewelry is taken out, the washi can be enjoyed as an interior item.

■Production process
The raw materials of Japanese traditional paper (washi) used for SukikOmi are provided by a company who has been making washi for many years in Echizen of Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The raw materials are made from fibers of kozo barks. These are brought to our studio in Tokyo, melted in water, and a jewelry piece is mixed in and dried. It becomes a piece of a package. Since it is one piece of washi, instead of two pieces pasted together,the product is thin and firm. Gently tear the washi from the reverse side to remove the ring inside.

■About ear cuff inside
One item serves many purposes...An ear cuff can be used just as a cuff, or combine a charm to make it into an earring.Both ear cuffs and charms can be used as a ring.Put a chain through it to make it into a necklace.There are unisex products.More designs to come.
＊To make them hard to fall off, earcuffs can be adjusted to fit your ear by squeezing the cuffs with your fingers after you have worn them.
＊This is the small-size ear cuff that can sit on the bottom of your inner ear. The balls on both ends will keep your ears from hurting and will let the cuff sit comfortably in your ear. This cuff serves as the base and charms can be attached so that different combinations can be enjoyed. (Charms are on sale separately.)
